CMC participated in the 12th China International Nuts and Roasted Seeds, Snacks Foods & Ingredients and Packaging Machinery Exhibition which took place in Hefei, Central China, from April 13 to April 15.

This is the third year for CMC to join the trade show. A CMC booth was set up among those sponsored by other US agricultural products. Dried cranberries and CMC brochures were displayed at the booth. Approximately 700 copies of various CMC brochures were distributed and 30 business cards were collected at the show. MZMC staff at the booth shared information about major cranberry distributors in China with those visitors who showed interest in making purchases.

Efforts in building awareness of cranberry in this second-tier city over the last few years apparently have started to bear fruit. Over 90% of visitors, mostly trade customers, were able to recognize dried cranberries. Questions about dried cranberries’ water content, color and import duty were raised on site. MZMC working staff answered question and told customers that although dried cranberry was on the second list, the duty hadn’t been affected yet. Those who were involved in import and distribution businesses were particularly concerned about how the new import duty rate might affect the price and supply of the products.

2018413-15日,美国蔓越莓市场协会前往安徽合肥,参加了2018年第十二届中国坚果炒货食品暨中外坚果炒货食品展(春季)

这是美国蔓越莓市场协会第三次参展,并与其他协会在美国展区中共同展示美国农产品。这次参展,蔓越莓协会在展位上展示了蔓越莓果干,并向现场观众分发宣传册。工作人员与有兴趣采购的参观者分享了中国主要蔓越莓经销商的信息。

在过去的几年里,蔓越莓在二线城市的推广初见成效。展会现场进口商和经销商更为关注新税率对价格和供货产生的影响。在最新公布的列表中,蔓越莓干虽在其列,但关税并未正式开始实施。除此以外,现场观众对蔓越莓干的水含量、颜色等问题也颇为关注。

Cranberry In-Store Promotion at Hema Fresh in Guiyang

From March 7-18, CMC had a cranberry in-store promotion at Hema Fresh, premium supermarket in Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou Province in Southwest China.

5 SKUs from 4 brands of cranberry products including dried cranberries and cranberry juice were featured at this promotion. The store set up a cranberry special display counter with cranberry samples and brochures as giveaways. CMC arranged for promoters to introduce shoppers to cranberries’ basic features and benefits. The promoters offered cranberry samples for the shoppers to try and encouraged the latter to purchase the cranberry products. CMC also invited baker to demonstrate the various applications of U.S. cranberries at different intervals during the promotion days.

Total sales of cranberry products during the promotion amounted to RMB18857.1(USD2,993), an increase of 47.3% compared with the period prior to the promotion.01dsc00959_%e5%89%af%e6%9c%ac

果干芝麻牛奶燕麦粥

果干芝麻牛奶燕麦粥

制作方法:

 

将燕麦片倒入牛奶后,奶锅煮到将近沸腾,或微波炉加热1分钟(注意加热容易扑出来,要用大碗!)。待牛奶温度变凉后,吃之前加入熟白芝麻、蔓越莓干和红枣片。

 

备注:

 

蔓越莓干和枣片不要在牛奶中泡太久,加入后立刻食用,以免过酸影响口感。购买的时候注意枣片要用冻干或者烤干的,不要用油炸的。

鸡蛋要嫩煮。带壳鸡蛋冷水下锅,煮到沸腾后立刻关火,焖6分钟,立刻冲凉水。头天晚上做好备用。

木瓜丁也可以作为上午加餐。

 

1. 来不及做早饭,也没时间准备食材的匆忙早晨,用橱柜里的储备粮就能搞定。

2. 蔓越莓干和枣片的搭配增加了酸甜的滋味,让燕麦粥单调的口感变得丰富,芝麻的加入增加了膳食纤维,还增加了维生素E、钙、铁、锌的摄入量。

3. 水果可以带去办公室,作为上午点食用。亦可等量替换为耐嚼、有饱感的其他应季水果,比如甜樱桃、苹果、桃子、番木瓜等。(上午在办公室,不可能吃了停不下来。苹果可以切一半,木瓜可以切一块,放保鲜盒里带着,两三小时不会坏)

4. 对有运动的人来说,如果想增加早餐热量,可以把脱脂奶换成全脂奶,再增加一勺燕麦片的量,就可以调整成500千卡的食谱。

美国蔓越莓新春美食季火热启动

2018年21-3月1日期间,美国蔓越莓市场协会将携手上海14家知名人气餐厅举办“美国蔓越莓新春美食季”活动,其中包括马勒别墅、和记小菜、浦江二号、浦江荟、云庐、匆匆那年、悦6、鱼非鱼,涵盖了上海的高端饭店和接地气的各大餐厅。此次活动是继2016年“美国蔓越莓新春美食季”后第二次在上海举办。活动期间,餐厅将以蔓越莓干、蔓越莓果酱、蔓越莓果汁为原料,提供多款蔓越莓特色新春菜肴,给消费者带来全新的味觉体验。

近年来,越来越多的中国消费者熟悉并喜欢上蔓越莓,蔓越莓非常适合制作各种创意料理,马勒别墅饭店行政总厨刘大师认为,本次推出的新春菜肴中,蔓越莓配鹅肝充分体现了蔓越莓百搭的特色,除了惯用于甜品外,其实蔓越莓酸甜口感特别能平衡咸口食物,入口柔和,解油解腻,带有果香。此外,在创作鸡尾酒时,蔓越莓也能大展身手,明亮的鲜红颜色更带有春节气氛。

Cranberry Menu Promotion in Shanghai

Between February 1 and March 1, CMC ran a cranberry menu promotion in Shanghai. 8 restaurant brands with a total of 14 outlets participated. These restaurants were Moller Villa, Hejixiaocai Restaurant, No.2 Pujiang, Pujiang Essence, Yun’s Fusion Cuisine, Back in Time, Cuisine & Lounge, and Eat More Fish.

Throughout the promotion, which ran through the important Chinese New Year festive period, each participating restaurant offered three or four new courses using dried cranberry, cranberry sauce and juice among their ingredients. These new menu items included appetizers, dim-sums (bite-size delicacies), main dishes, desserts and beverages. The restaurants promoted their new offers with stand-alone posters, tent cards and menu sheets bearing CMC’s logo. Short description of cranberry and CMC’s QR codes were also printed on these promotion materials. By the end of the promotion, a total of 7,959 cranberry dishes were sold to and enjoyed by 22,800+ patrons.

To gain more exposure, CMC invited 3 social media KOL’s (key opinion leaders), who have 590 thousand Wechat followers in total, to post 3 pieces of contents about the promotion. These posts received altogether 47,157 clicks. One of these KOL’s posted an additional piece on her Weibo, which received 28,000 impressions. CMC reposted these posts onto its official Wechat and Weibo.

After the promotion, all the restaurant brands except Yun’s Fusion Cuisine and Back in Time, have planned on including cranberry dishes into their regular menu. These dishes included Cranberry Butterfly Shrimp, Cranberry Jelly, Cranberry Prawn, Cranberry Cocktail, Cranberry Shrimp, Cranberry Scallop Salad, Cranberry Tofu Pudding, Cranberry Papaya Jelly, Cranberry Coconut Milk Jelly, Cranberry Beef Cheek and Millet.

美国蔓越莓新春美食季媒体招待会

201821日,美国蔓越莓市场协会在马勒别墅饭店举办“美国蔓越莓新春美食季媒体招待会”,邀请媒体以及贸易商共同品尝 “蔓” 妙 “莓” 味。其中,午宴时嘉宾们享用的“蔓越莓虾仁”、“蔓越莓鹅肝”、“蔓越莓特饮”是马勒别墅为“美国蔓越莓新春美食季”特别研发的蔓越莓菜肴。

午宴正式开始前,先由美国驻上海总领事馆农业贸易处副领事白克明先生致开幕词。接着,美国蔓越莓市场协会中国代表庄晓青女士介绍了美国蔓越莓的基本知识以及本次新春美食季活动。随后尼尔森消费者洞察副经理陈楚翘女士解读了2017年蔓越莓全国知晓率调研报告。最后,马勒别墅行政总厨刘洪大师分享了蔓越莓在餐饮运用中的心得体会。

Cranberry Media Appreciation Lunch Event

On February 1, CMC organized a Cranberry Media Appreciation Lunch at the Moller Villa Hotel Shanghai to announce the launch of a Cranberry Menu Promotion. The lunch menu included Cranberry Goose Liver, Cranberry Shrimp and Cranberry Cocktail. They were all specially developed by Moller Villa.

27 members of the media and 17 cranberry importers/distributors participated in the event. Tyler Babcock, Deputy Director of ATO Shanghai, gave the welcome remarks. Mabel Zhuang, CMC’s China representative delivered a talk on U.S. Cranberry and gave a brief description of the Menu Promotion. 8 restaurants in Shanghai (14 outlets in total) would be participating in the promotion between February 1 and 25.

Caroline Cheng, Associate Manager of Consumer Insight from the marketing research company Nielsen, shared the findings of 2017 Cranberry Nationwide Awareness Survey which showed that the awareness of cranberries in China has reached 53%. Nick Liu, executive chef of Moller Villa Hotel Shanghai, also talked about the many applications of U.S. cranberries in the food service sector.

美国蔓越莓木瓜冻

原料:

木瓜1个、美国蔓越莓干20g、美国蔓越 莓酱50g、雀巢全脂牛奶50g、白糖5g、 胜牌鱼胶粉1.5g

 

做法:

1. 选取熟透软度适中的木瓜去皮去籽

2. 牛奶、白糖和凝胶粉一起兑制并加热, 加入白糖美国蔓越莓酱和凝胶粉融化均匀

3. 放凉后,倒入去好皮的木瓜,放冰箱冷 藏4-5小时

4. 木瓜切成均匀三角形状,摆盘撒上美国 蔓越莓干即可
